FakeCall ยท Virtual Call Simulator
Last updated: October 2026

๐Ÿ”’ FakeCall takes your privacy seriously.
This app uses AdMob for advertising and Google Play for subscriptions, so certain third-party SDKs collect necessary device information. Beyond that, we do not collect any personal identity data.

๐Ÿ“ฑ1. About FakeCall

FakeCall is an Android app that simulates incoming phone calls on your device. You can customize the caller number, contact name, location label, ringtone, wallpaper, and more โ€” then trigger a fake call manually or schedule it for later. It is intended for entertainment, demonstration, or as a practical excuse to leave a situation.

FakeCall's core functionality runs locally without cloud dependency. However, the app uses AdMob for advertising and Google Play Billing for paid subscriptions, which requires network access.

โœ…2. What Data Do We Collect?

FakeCall itself does not proactively collect your personal identity information. However, the app integrates third-party SDKs for advertising and subscriptions, which collect necessary data to provide these services.

Everything you configure inside the app โ€” fake phone number, contact name, ringtone choice, wallpaper selection, etc. โ€” is stored only on your device's local storage and never uploaded to any server operated by us.

Data Category Collected? Details
Personal identity (name, email) No No sign-up, no login required
Device info (model, OS version, advertising ID / GAID) Yes Collected automatically by AdMob SDK for ad delivery and optimization
Browsing history No The app does not track browsing behavior
Location data No No location permissions
Microphone / Camera No No recording or camera permissions
Contact info (name, phone number) Yes Obtained through the system contact picker, stored locally
Subscription transaction data Yes Processed by Google Play Billing for subscription validation
Crash reports No No crash reporting SDK integrated

๐Ÿ”3. Permissions Explained

To deliver a realistic fake-call experience and support advertising and subscription features, FakeCall declares the following four permissions:

The following permissions are NOT declared: Contacts full read (READ_CONTACTS), Phone dialing, Fine/Coarse location, Microphone, Camera, Storage read/write, Notifications, Overlay window, Request install packages, Exact alarm, Battery optimization exemption, and more.

๐Ÿ”—4. Third-Party SDKs & Data Sharing

FakeCall integrates the following third-party SDKs for advertising and subscription services:

Google Mobile Ads SDK (AdMob)

AdMob is Google's mobile advertising platform. When this SDK is integrated, Google may collect the following information: your advertising ID (GAID), device model, operating system version, and in-app activity logs. This data is used to deliver personalized ads, measure ad performance, and detect fraud.

You can reset or disable your advertising ID at any time in your Android system settings, or opt out of personalized ads through your device's ad settings. For more details, see the Google Privacy Policy.

Google Play Billing Library

Google Play Billing is Android's official in-app subscription service. This SDK handles subscription purchases, renewal management, and status verification. Transaction data is processed securely by Google Play; FakeCall only receives the subscription status to unlock premium features.

Processing of this data is governed by Google Play's Terms of Service. See Google Privacy Policy for details.

Other Dependencies

The app also uses official Google AndroidX components (Material Design, Lifecycle, Coil image loading, etc.), which are standard Android development libraries and do not actively send user data.

๐Ÿ’พ5. Local Storage & On-Device Privacy

Everything you configure inside FakeCall โ€” caller number, contact label, location, ringtone, wallpaper, avatar path, repeat count and interval, etc. โ€” is stored as simple key-value pairs using Android's SharedPreferences / MMKV engine, inside the app's private directory at /data/data/app.funnyappptech.android.fake.call/.

This directory is protected by the Android sandbox and is readable only by FakeCall itself. When you uninstall the app, the operating system automatically removes all stored data. Nothing is left behind.

About custom avatars and wallpapers:

When you pick a custom avatar or wallpaper using the system photo picker (ActivityResultContracts.PickVisualMedia), FakeCall copies the selected image into its private directory and stores the absolute file path. Your original photo in the system gallery is never modified or deleted.

๐Ÿ“‡6. About Contact Selection

When you tap "Pick from Contacts", FakeCall sends an ACTION_PICK Intent to the system Contacts app. You make the selection in the native Android contact picker โ€” not inside FakeCall.

Under Android's official guidelines, this is a "trusted Intent path" that does not require the READ_CONTACTS runtime permission. The system only returns the single contact entry you explicitly selected (name + phone number).

How this data is handled: The app stores the selected contact's name and phone number locally in SharedPreferences as the default fake caller information. This data stays exclusively on your device and is never uploaded to any server. FakeCall never reads your entire contacts book.

๐Ÿ‘ถ7. Children's Privacy

FakeCall is suitable for users of all ages. The app contains no mature content and is appropriate for family use.

We do not proactively collect personal identity information from children under 13. However, please note that third-party SDKs such as AdMob integrated into this app may automatically collect technical data including device identifiers (e.g., GAID), and such collection does not distinguish user age. For AdMob's handling of child users, please refer to Google Play Families policies and AdMob's guidelines for advertising to minors.

๐Ÿ—‘๏ธ8. How to Delete Your Data

To delete local app data:

1. Clear app data: System Settings โ†’ Apps โ†’ FakeCall โ†’ Storage โ†’ Clear Data (keeps the app installed)
2. Uninstall the app: Removing FakeCall will automatically delete all local data.

About subscription data:

Subscription purchases and renewals are managed by Google Play. To cancel a subscription or remove transaction data, please visit the Google Play Subscriptions page.

About your advertising ID:

You can reset your advertising ID (GAID) or opt out of personalized ads at any time in your Android system settings, reducing how AdMob uses your data.

๐Ÿ“9. Changes to This Policy

This Privacy Policy was last updated in October 2026 to reflect the following changes: the app now integrates the AdMob SDK for advertising and Google Play Billing for subscriptions, and the INTERNET permission has been added.

If FakeCall's functionality changes materially in the future โ€” for example, if we introduce new SDKs or additional data collection โ€” we will update this Privacy Policy accordingly and notify you before the changes take effect. You can always review the latest version through the "About" page inside the app or on the Google Play store listing.

โœ‰๏ธ10. Contact Us

If you have any questions, suggestions, or complaints about this Privacy Policy, please use the in-app feedback option (Settings โ†’ Feedback), or email us at funnyappptech@hotmail.com.

The feedback helper automatically prepends environment details (device model, Android version, screen resolution, etc.) to the email body โ€” read locally via Android's Build class, no permissions needed. This information is only sent if and when you explicitly tap Send in your mail app.

Please note: FakeCall itself does not proactively upload any user information to our servers, but third-party SDKs (such as AdMob) automatically transmit necessary data to their respective service providers according to their own privacy policies.
